The Wellcome Reading Rooms host open forum events. These events are informal gatherings, free to those who wish to attend.

Leslie Jaye from OII-UK and Dawn Vago from IntersexUK were delighted to be invited by Jay Stewart of Gendered Intelligence, to speak about intersex issues at an event on Thursday evening.

Both Leslie and Dawn were both very well received, and the audience asked some very perceptive questions about intersex issues in the UK today. They were visibly stunned by some of the answers.

Both Leslie and Dawn emphasised the importance of education in raising awareness and the visibility of intersex issues in wider society.

Working together about intersex human rights is very important, and OII-UK looks forward to working together with IntersexUK in future.
