This is probably a timely moment to remind ourselves of the aims and goals of intersex activism and advocacy.
Malta has now adopted onto it’s statutes the most comprehensive protections for intersex people that can be found anywhere in the world.

In part that is a result of the momentous decision to locate the Third International Intersex Forum in Malta, in 2013. Alongside that decision OII-UK extends it’s abiding gratitude to Helena Dalli in reaching out to IS advocates and helping to make this possible in Malta.
This is the full statement issued at the Maltese meeting in 2013. These aims remain front and centre of all intersex advocates and activist’s aims today, and into the future.
